Since the stop spacings are on the
gear selectors rather than built in the derailleur,
it should work fine as long as the chain cage is wide enough.
Derailers don't care about how many speeds. This is a matter that
concerns the cassette and the shifter. It will work, though the quality
is considerably lower than Shimano units.

Which Shimano units? Not to be overly argumentative but in an apples-to-apples
comparison, the SunRace aluminum models are priced between the Tourney and Altus
models from Shimano. For what they are, I like them lots. The 105 costs almost
four times as much so that comparison might be unfair.
