Any suggestions for an adhesive to attach the rubber nose pads on a pair of
Bolle sunglassess? Nylon to rubber.

Thanks,

Bill

I was just gonna ask myself. I know that cyanoacrylate (sp?) i.e. super
glue works for about a week or two, then fails - I'm on about the tenth
application. Weatherstripping adhesive was a total bust. I'm going to
the hardware store to look for some proper contact cement - anybody
tried that?

I had this problem and finally found that using the sunglasses without
the nose pads wasn't that bad. Rode for about a year with just one nose
pad and never noticed the difference!

I think this is a major design flaw. There is no reason for a $100 pair
of sunglasses (plastic at that) to fail in a year or two. Bolle should
replace them for free, although I doubt they would.

I tried some "Goo" type adhesive which didn't work at all. Found that Super
glue worked fine. Not sure what I did that made it work for about a year.
I have to order some new ones though because the current ones are starting
to disintegrate again! The Bolle rep I spoke to acted like he never got
requests for new nose pads.

If desperate, do what I did. Drilled a set of tiny holes in the plastic of the
glasses, then stitched the rubber nose pads with nylon wire (a normal needle
went through the pads without problems). Two holes on key places should be
enough. The key is to drill the holes, do not punch them...

I tried several adesive - for plastics, dual components, cyano - without success.
I also tried to melt the damned pad in place, nothing. The wire worked OK and
was very easy to apply.

Ciao,

I've fixed quite a few things that glue would not stick to with a hot
glue gun. There inexpensive and a worthwhile addition to your tool
box.

I wear glasses and use nosepads that come with their own adhesive
attached. I just peel off when they get too oily. They can be found
in any CVS type store with the ohter eyeglass items.

I sent mine back to Bolle and they replaced the rubber pads as well as
