Dear lunatic, take your Haldol or Seroquel or whatever they have you on. What does a flash-mob smash and grab at Nordstrom have to do with vigilantes? And if shoppers at Nordstrom had been packing, could they open fire on these looters to prevent them from ripping off handbags? Could wild-eyed Tom Kunich start blasting away with his 1911 because illegals and communists and queers and negroes were stealing stuff? You would like to do that, wouldn't you? And if you did, you would end up as someone's old-guy prison bitch -- although you might pull off an insanity defense and just end up at Atascadero -- which is far nicer setting than Oakland.

Perhaps one might ask why these events are occurring -- and how police and businesses can respond. This takes some thought process and should be left to those with full use of their frontal lobes.

We know that you love to pretend that the police are only seconds away so I can hardly wait to see your reaction when this sort of thing happens to you and there are no "vigilantes" to help you in your plight.

insanity defense ?

Depends

The juries often sense that a judge has taken sides and follow his lead

but he might get lucky and get just the right jury or judge

On the other hand the jury may view their judge as loathsome and do the opposite of what he is signalling

Or he might get one from the Schroder school of law who keeps ruling the prosecutor cannot answer questions the jury frankly want answers to

I saw a few videos of the activity posted on reddit.

There had been as many as four sites reported earlier today , tho there might be more

One was Nordstorms and the other was a drug store

Hard to call it looting

They were around fifty in number and were very well organized

They marched through like an army taking care to alternate high and low shelves
