Ed,
The newest Quality catalog shows only the American Classic and the Kalloy
Lapride. Another option is to use a Tranz-x "seatpost size adapter" which
will alloy you to use any 25.4 seatpost and adapt it to your 27.4 size.
Good Luck.

I think the best bet would be to call Waterford. I don't have the phone
number, but you can probably get it at: http://www.waterfordbikes.com/. It's
in their interest to know, I think.
Unless you have a good LBS, alot of people won't take the time to leaf
throught the supply cat's., and probably won't let you do it.
BTW, as for setback, get yourself on a size-cycle and dup. the angles to see
if you can get enough setback with current choices of posts.

Selcof from Italy make their aluminium "Team" model post in this size. This is
the post Colnago offers with the C-40 ( in a different diameter ). You can get
this through your LBS.

there's two other choices but are somewhat hard to find:

the older Dura-Ace (non-aero) posts were made in 27.4. I've been able to get
ahold of 2 of these for my Waterfords.

Campy used to make a 27.4 post years ago and someone may have one lying
around that they'd be willing to part with.

Other than that, American Classic, Syncros and Kalloy are the only ones I'm
aware of in 27.4

Another option I've done on several bikes with seattubes that have been
reamed slightly large is to take a smaller post to a machine shop and ask
them to apply a heavy knurling on the post (do this only on the non-exposed
area). This will generally add another .2-.3mm to the diameter of the post.

Thomson also makes a 27.4 post, but it has no offset. Someone else
recommended using shims. This will allow you to use nearly any post if
you don't mind the shim. Also, if you haven't had the frame built yet,
Waterford can make it with a 27.2 mm ID seat tube.

I believe Thomson makes a 27.4mm post, although it would suffer from the same
problems as the others, having little setback. Ever think about the sue of
shims? Steve

Yeah. I bought a Waterford in '96. I was very leery of the 27.4
bore. Richard S. said they had a good supply of older Dura Ace's for about $40,
but I wasn't convinced. Then, for the same price, I was offered a 27.2 seat
tube substitution. Since that lets me use virtually any post on the market, it
was really a no-brainer.

If you're thinking about getting a Waterford (and you ought to, it's as nice a
frame as you'll ever see), consider this.

American classic, Thompson, and Syncors all make very nice 27.4 Seat post.

The 27.4 size comes from the new generation of Reynols 853 tubing and
changing it alters the craftsmanship and the finely tuned "ride".
