Has anyone ridden a rossin bicycle? Are they well made compared to other
racing bicycles. I am currently looking into the rossin boxer and have been
informed that it is made of dedacciai 7003. What is the reliability of this
frame material? They are quite popular in Europe..

Any information would be greatly appreciated.. Also I have been looking for
the rossin website but unable to find a valid link... Does anyone know of
one?

Gosh, I thought at least a few would respond. I just retired my SLX Rossin last
year after about 10 years. It was a great steel bike. It has a longer top tube
for a relaxed ride and a beefy bottom bracket that seemed to help the sprints. It
was a great bike at the time but I love my new TI bike.

I would think anything new they would have would be up to the level of any top road
bike and you would have something unique.

I just bought a Rossin Performance. It's a filet brazed Columbus Genius
mega-tube frame w/ threadless steel fork. Love it. I do not believe that they
have a web site, but I bought mine from a very informative guy at the following
bike shop:

Bevin
Bicycle Sport inc.
561-569-5990

Again, I really like this bike but I haven't ridden their aluminum models. If
you'd like to see a photo, let me know.

Thanks,

Bill Graham

Well I spoke to Bevin and he indicates the frame is Dedacciai 7003 but on
the website below it indicates it is 7005... Which one is it???

I would believe Bevin, can someone re-confirm the frame material...

I hate sites like this that constantly open new windows.

To set the record straight, Rossin is owned by Gruppo Bici. The Mobilvetta
team rode the Nylon(SC6110 with carbon rear and integrated HS) and the
Revolution(SC 6110) in the agonistic 2000 season.The Boxer is a compact
geometry made out of Deda 7003 and features the integrated HS. Rossin has
switched from Columbus to Deda. If anyone is interested in the Rossin brand,
including the Boxer, please call us at 1-800-489-8430. Dean La Bicicletta

History of ROSSIN (quoting from a sales brochure)

"Rossin was established in 1974. At that
time, the founder, Mr. Mario Rossin, an expert
technician and welder, was personally overlooking the hand made
production of a precious few jewels of bicycling.

In 1992 the company was bought by a company called Finross (whose
owners had founded Regina Cycles, Speed and Lema Sport). That raised the
productivity without changing the quality standards of the hand made
production. Finross was finally absorbed by Regina Cycles at the end of
the 90's.
Rossin bikes have been used by such champions as De Vlaeminck, Van
Poppel, Berzin,Ugrumov, Virenque, Argentin, Kelly, Kuiper and many
others.
The product Rossin was chosen by Coca-Cola in 1994 as the testimonial
to support its advertising campaign during the Olympics, thus
introducing Rossin on the American market.

The Rossin brand, synonymous with quality and prestige, has been
deposited both literally and phonetically thus giving the company
recognizability and a strong identity.

GRUPPO BICI has announced the return of Rossin into professional
cycling. Not only have we confirmed the collaboration with the
Mobilvetta-Northwave team, but because of the successes of last season,
like the two stages at the Giro d'ltalia including the first, we thought
that the aghonistic year 2000 should be really great for us. Rossin has
become the second name of the team: MOBILVETTA-ROSSIN."
