They are available on Vetta's website in pdf format.

Brian,
If you are not successful in dowloading a copy...send me your
snail mail address (off-line) and I'll mail a copy to you.
Regards,
Bill
Thanks for the tip, but they don't seem to have this model....
Try this:
http://www.vetta.com/Manual_Tech.html
'Manuals for discontinued products'
Click on either 'C-Series', or 'V-Series'...should bring you to:

Thanks ED3, that did it. For some reason it never occurred to me to
look under "V-Series" for an "HR-Series" manual. Now I just need to
find a printer that will print out a 45 inch page....

I finally got it, thanks!
How do you like the HR1000? I've been thinking of getting
one since it combines the cyclecomputer and HRM functions.
Thanks

It's a nice little unit. It worked well for what I got it for, which
was to monitor my heart rate during indoor training. I've since
decided that I hate indoor training. As a result is now on ebay - see
my posting on rec.bicycles.marketplace, if you're interested.

However, the ultimate cyclometer for me is the Cateye MSC-3DX... Does
all of the V100HR, but logs every minute for downloading to your PC.
Then, it's charts and graphs of the entire trip. Hours of fun pouring
over useless information! :)

I'm still waiting for a custom GPS with cadence and HRM functions...

Supergo sells a re-badged HR-1000 called the HRM1000. I have two of
them in addition to three Vetta HR-1000s. They're exactly the same
except for the color of the buttons. Also hard to beat the price. See:
http://www.supergo.com/itemlist.asp?id=24&subid=1512&company=Supergo
BTW, There's also a link on the Supergo site to download the manual in
.pdf format.
