Maybe "moderator" Is the wrong term. Member "x" apparently flagged my question for abuse of the group, so my post was hidden. Who is this guy/gal? Would he care to explain his thoughts?

It's a Usenet group and is totally unmoderated as you can see by the number of spammers who post unless you filter/killfile them.

The post still exists; I saw the original and can still get to it.
I use the eternal-september news feed, not google news.

I just viewed the group on Google and your original Time Cleats post is still there. There's one reply from X that's totally unrelated to your post. That post of X's is proof the group is not moderated.

BTW, can you link to the type of cleat you're looking for as might have some you can have. They're Time but I'm not sure what kind.

Cheers

Where to find old style Time road cleats (equipe pro)?

BTW: WOW! This group is still active!!!! I have not been on here for YEARS!!!

It's still there. No moderation, no flagging.

Your problem is that you're using Google's miserable apology for a
newsreader. Get rid of that by getting an actual newsreader and a
proper news account, and you'll have no more trouble. Eternal September
is free and reliable.

Sorry, I don't know where to find old style Time cleats.

Why this is marked as abuse? It has been marked as abuse.
Report not abuse
I'm not allowed posting due to conflicts with Google's People...I have exceeded their sense of importance.

The trash is where you may find the cleats, in the LBS trash.

One would not approach the bar with a stiff attidude or at the wrong time. Trash isnot a big margin item...unless used by Ivan Basso et al.

Try Wednesday at 10AM

try to hide the fact ura asshole

I see now. Something was posted that somebody reported as abusive, and it *is* hidden. The way that "message hidden" note came up made it look, to me, like my original message was hidden (it is not). "X"s message was posted right beside that "this message is hidden" note and got I confused, in part because "X"s message did not make much sense to me.

The display of information on these groups has changed since I was last active here, 8 years ago. I'll try reading the group through an email client that blocks spam or through eternal September. Hopefully, either of those will help sort out the junk.

There is no moderator. Your message
<581b650d-a6d4-42a3...@googlegroups.com>
appears on Supernews, Giganews, Newsguy, and Google News.
<https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!topic/rec.bicycles.tech/1uoLMpMq714>
Oddly, while your original message appears everywhere, there's also a
message from a spammer, and your follow up to your original message
(with a link to a photo of the cleats), which appear only on Google
News. No clue what happened.

While Google News is free, it has minimal and generally ineffective
spam filtering. I suggest using an alternative Usenet news service.

No clue on where to get those cleats.

Your follow up message just appeared. While your original message was
posted on Mar 12, your follow up message was posted about 1 hour ago
on Mar 15. If you claim that the original message was "moderated",
how did you know which message to post a followup?

I believe the problem is the Google Groups hideous and useless user
interface. I don't think it was designed to be used by humans. I've
been through all the variations since before Google Deja News. It
only gets worse. Find another reader (Forte Agent) and another
provider (Eternal September).

Nope. You original post appeared today, and I believe I saw it
yesterday.... and I don't believe that there is a moderator in this
group :-)

But it wasn't hidden.... it is right here, on the group, today... and
