I have a pair of CODA 500 SPD mountain bike pedals on my road bike. Can
anyone confirm that the cleat style is actually the Ritchey SPD?

Also, I'm considering replacing them with a pair of single-sided SPD road
pedals, and I'm wondering if I need to be wary of trying either Shimano or
Wellgo models using my current cleats. I've heard complaints recently in
this newsgroup that a Ritchey cleat and a Shimano/Wellgo pedal could be a
bad combination.

Thanks for any help!

I have CODA mtb pedals on my road bike too. I have Shimano SPD MTB cleats on
all my shoes and can switch from my mountain bike, to my road bike to my
beater. All are compatible. I don't know about Ritchey cleats, but I know
Shimano mtb cleats work. Jim Hasenauer

_Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance_ has a chart of
cleat/pedal compatibility for MTB pedals. But it sounds like he only
tested one sample of each, so I don't know how trustworthy it is.
