When Friction Facts was purchased by CeramicSpeed in 2016:
<https://www.bikeradar.com/news/ceramicspeed-acquires-friction-facts/>
I was expecting someone to fill in the vacuum created in the chain
lube testing area. We now have Zero Friction Cycling (ZFC):
<https://zerofrictioncycling.com.au>
(Actually, the web site was started in 2020, but I didn't notice until
now). Besides chain lubes, they also test chain strength and
longevity.

The Dec 2021 lube test results and spreadsheet:
<https://zerofrictioncycling.com.au/lubetesting/>
<https://zerofrictioncycling.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Website-Charts-Main-DATA-FOR-UPLOAD-Dec-21.xlsx>
Note that there are 4 "tabs" at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
- Cost to run Modeling Notes
- Data Raw
- Cost to run tables
- Simple Application Longevity

There's quite a bit about wax lube on the home page under the
"Instructions" tab.

"Lube Test Brief & Protocol"
<https://zerofrictioncycling.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Lube-Longevity-Full-Test-Brief-and-Protocol-v3.pdf>

ZFC also has a YouTube channel:
<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6dLMug2vajLn1Y-HENe_pw/videos>

Another video from a different author goes through the 4 types of
chain lubricant and includes exerts and comments from the ZFC channel:
"Best bike lube - saves big money"
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjPjoGEiRwQ> (7:18)

Of course, I see things I like and dislike on the site. There's quite
a bit to absorb and that will take me some time.

I am serenely above all this grubby stuff. I fit a good KMC chain inside a Hebie Chainglider and run it on stainless steel cogs on its factory lube for its entire service life, then fit a new chain. See:

Yo, Sheldon, if you're listening from Heaven, I've now extended your experiment from 700 to over 3000 miles.

Most chain wear comes from grit off of the road so a good chain case would prevent the vast majority of chain wear,.

I've trebled my mileage on a chain running inside a Hebie Chainglider. Similar report from other riders are at the link I gave before and passim on the Thorn Forum:
