It's been around for a few years. Basically, it's like buying a gift
card at the supermarket or other physical store and paying for it
using PayPal:

I turn mine off when I'm not using them. Among my former customers,
nobody left their desktops or laptops turned on overnight. Also, I
make sure that WoL (wake on LAN) is disabled so it doesn't magically
turn on at night. Same with remote access programs like Chrome Remote
Desktop, AnyDesk, Teamviewer etc.

Enable 2FA (two factor authentication) or install an authenticator app
on your smartphone. I have about 7 authenticator apps installed on my
phone (Google, Microsoft, Xfinity, Aegis, etc). For banking, have
several rolling code generators that work much the same way.

I don't believe you. Most remote access programs allow blanking out
the remote screen. Doing so helps deal with any difference in screen
resolutions between the host and the client. It also dramatically
speeds up screen writes.
Any more complaints about how everyone except you is doing everything
wrong?
