JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK! This thing SUCKS! :)
I like the idea of greater ground clearance, and it seems to me like
the compactness of the rear derailleur would make it more reliable/less
prone to getting jammed with sticks&such, but the dealer I was talking
with said that he's heard that they're _not_ all that reliable, that
they haven't caught on so it might be hard to get parts in the future,
and that the ceiling on chainring size is lower.
While this last one is offset by the smaller size (19-11) of the freewheel,
I prefer a low cadence, so it does concern me.
If you're wondering about specifics, I'm looking at the Giant Prodigy.
I like the bike- it's built to my tastes, and is in my price range- but
I'm worried about the components.
Comments? Experience?

I've been quite happy with my hybrid and it has the 400CX componentry.
So far I've done about 1300km on it and haven't had any serious
problems. The bottom bracket died pretty fast but the guy at the shop
said it was an assembly problem of some sort. Replaced under guarantee.
As for cadence worries, it seems to have a pretty good range of gears.
I'm sure you can find one that you like.
One thing to watch out for is the way that the integrated
brakes/shifters seem to take up so much handlebar room.
