Out of curiousity I searched Mike Vandeman's name.
He seemed to disappear from Usenet around 2010.

But I did find him here, responding to an article. By the arguements he posts it *has* to be him! Wowza.
Aesop: "A leopard does not change his spots."

Any thoughts?

Re: Mike Vandeman
Here's a fresh 2020 link to his 'faq' site. Hey, we used to refer people to the faq all the time....I forgot where it is.

MIke Vandeman is a crackpot. He is not susceptible to reasonable argument. I
gave up on him when I learned he was a typical California leftist who
favored immigration from south of the border even though he professes
concern about the environment. His left hand does not know what his right
hand is doing. Usenet is well rid of him.

Holy Smokes, It's Ed Dolan the Great.
Hi, Mr. D. Long time no hear and it's good to see you are still keeping track of Usenet.

I'm a Californian and I certainly understand your sentiments about of a lot of my co-inhabitants.
My mom was a legal immigrant from Latvia after WWII who had to jump through a lot of hoops to get here. She is not real pleased w/ who some people are "jumping the line" these days.

I hope you keep in mind that there are a lot of people here who are not "typical" leftists.

Based on what I know so far I do agree with you about Mr. Vandeman's opions so far. He brings to mind some of the militant Vegan postings I've seen over the years.

Welcome back!
