As close as you can get to being a cyclist without actually being a
cyclist:

If he would just pack the thing full of tuna and start
training for the Olympics he'd be another David Michael
Anthony. Which is not to say we need another David
Michael Anthony.

"Turner has spent much of his savings building the latest incarnation
of "Zzzoomer," and is looking for sponsors for his run. "

I would think that anyone who can run all day fast enough for a pair
of Zipps to create any energy savings would have no trouble finding
sponsors. Wait, never mind...

I thought the same thing when I read that.

"The key, Turner said, is 'emptying' his mind."

Well,... and lucky for Glen Turner,... there are plenty of fully
qualified Koaches for that -- Jonah Goldberg wrote a whole book about
them. Hell, rbr alone has more than the world will ever need.

That is very, very, very far from being a cyclist.

Like others, it seems to perfectly combine genius and stupidity to
create pointlessness. The tagline on his FAQ page says "Forrest Gump
meets Fred Flintstone"

That sounds about right.

Hence rbr's motto: "The world is not enough".

In my book RAAM sleep deprivation, neck failure and
carnage make if far stupider than `Can I run with Glen?'
Seven to thirteen hours a day on the road leaves time
for nutrition and rest.
