If Alexi can come back...
But seriously, folks, this is all part of the process of making sure
the offender is DEAD.

Yes, but can Alexi come back?
I saw a result of his the other day, can't remember where or when, some race I'd
never heard of, he came in well down the field but he did finish and at the age
of 107 that's not bad.

Yeah that's right, I've just heard the police are gonna bust Amy Winehouse
tomorrow...that's today's bad comment joke out of the way anyway :)

Doh.........................bad taste comment.......

She's gonna catch a lot of that, as part of the mess she made.
As a singer, first, and also as a songwriter, the tributes from people
who know what they are talking about are coming in.
'Nuff said on that score.
I was hoping she'd shake loose and put out that great album she had in
her, if she'd had the "help" to do it.
As another fated chanteuse famously noted: "God bless the child that's
got his own".
"Celebrate the work".

I wonder if there any any recent photographs so we can confirm weight
gain predictions. I seem to recall Lafferty used to have some New
Orleans cake as a prize for closest weight prediction for him.
And speaking of the good old days I'm surprised Fredmaster didn't use
the dingy little crawlspace in his office so he could watch Alpe d' Huez
live after enduring 15 minutes in Ronde Champ's head.
Goddamn.

The callbacks in this group are out of control. I didn't
even remember having written that.
I wish I had thought of that trick, although I've been in Germany
and the UK for several weeks without any access to my
beloved crawlspace, and not that much coverage of the Tour
either. At least there's been plenty of beer.
Although I haven't ever seen the Dutch corner, I did like changing
planes in Schiphol, where there is a duty free store that sells only
stroopwafels.

Schiphol is a great airport. They have a "branch" of the Rijksmuseum
in the airport (a little gallery with about 10 paintings) that puts to
shame every museum in Vancouver. Also, the duty-free selection is
fine.
Compare to Athens, where they replaced the complete dump of an airport
they had in 2000 with a much larger, similarly dumpy airport, located
much further from town.
I went to the Rijksmuseum exhibit - there were actually two
exhibits in the same room, one on landscapes of the "Golden Age"
of Dutch painting, the other on flowers and still lifes. Both were
lovely. And next to the art gallery is a little library - comfortable
chairs and a selection of books for you to look at (and the books
haven't been stolen, vandalized, or thrown in the canal). It's
god-damned civilized, I tell you.

Yabbut Vancouver's got it all over Dikeland in other areas, like
mountains, and...what else does Vancouver have? ;)
This from Wikipedia:
"Vancouver has been ranked one of the most livable cities in the world
for more than a decade. As of 2010, Vancouver has been ranked as
having the 4th highest quality of living of any city on Earth. In
contrast, according to Forbes, Vancouver had the 6th most overpriced
real estate market in the world and was second-highest in North
America after Los Angeles in 2007. Vancouver has also been ranked
among Canada's most expensive cities in which to live. Forbes has
also ranked Vancouver as the tenth cleanest city in the world."
So actually Vancouver would probably be right at home in Holland.
They'd probably welcome the extra dry land. Maybe you should give
them a call...?

Considering Greece's financial situation, it's amazing they extended
themselves to build the "new dump" airport. Or maybe part of the
reason.

But you wouldn't feel at home if there weren't any people there speaking
loudly into cellphones about their love life or shopping.
