According to the Guardia Civil, the product, Spasmobronchal, has a
legal use for treatment of horses that have problems with blood supply
to their lungs. However, in this case the product has allegedly been
supplied to farmers to fatten up cattle and to athletes as a
performance-booster.

The news of the arrests comes as the cycling world awaits the verdict
on Alberto Contador’s positive test for clenbuterol. Contador’s
defence is that he ingested the product in tainted meat. Several
agricultural organizations have said that clenbuterol is no longer
administered to Spanish cattle to aid fattening, but this case
demonstrates that illegal supply of clenbuterol-based products to
farmers is still taking place in Spain.

The arrest of the bodybuilder and cyclist also suggest that use of
clenbuterol as a performance-booster has continued despite it being
banned as a threat to public health in December 2009. (end)

For one thing, this certainly beefs up Cantadore's defense.

And, it shows they're still doping without being caught, in most
cases.

If you're going to take one athlete's samples to a Super-Lab, then you
need to get samples from every participant and send them to the Super-
Lab, too. Otherwise, they're all still doping and only the few are
getting popped, which is not "cleaning up sport" but shooting it in
the guts by discouraging sponsors. Ironic, no? The very thing
("testing testing testing") that is supposed to prevent "scandal"
besmirching the lilly-white halls of Corporate Sponsorship seems to
backfire on a continuous basis.

This is the way doping will be going.

Lipo out some fat, shake & bake, and inject. It'll be totally
undetectable and will promote blood vessel creation.

The question I have is whether or nut the testing can distinguish
between different forms of the drug. Spasmobronchal vs. clenbuterol itself.

My two cent foodstamp remark:

Freudian Slips are the subconscious intent of the maker of a remark.
Neither the article or D-Y say or imply anything specific about Lance
Armstrong. Leave it to Laffingstock to find a way to get an erection out of
an innocuous statement. Remember, Laffingstock, that masturbating to
thoughts of Lance Armstrong is adultery in God's eyes.

Call it nitpicking, but isn't that the opposite of why athletes have
allegedly used it?

Poor choice of words. Farmers also don't use it to fatten up the
livestock, but to have it grow more muscles = meat.

Isn't the better question whether the timing of these raids had anything
to do with the proceedings against AC? They wait until after the first
shot at a dismissal has evaporated and then come up with a convenient
crossover story that the cycling world cannot ignore (because a cyclist
is implicated) but primarily lays the groundwork for cattle doping. If
you're into the idea that Spain is the center of doping and that their
government has been actively covering up evidence (Operation Puerto),
it's pretty easy to read things this way. And if that hasn't been ones'
thinking in the past, how could it not be now?

The timing is just way too convenient.

It goes deeper than that. The aliens are involved again. And there must
be a link between alien cattle mutilation and LANCE's doping too.

Class, when was the last time Laffemmorhoid posted anything about
LANCE that wasn't ball related? There's not much in the news about
his favorite witch hunt, so he's short on material...and wit. Try to

Interesting comment. If there is one thing I have missed in your

are there in spades .
Humor? Non existent. Sad.
