I am translating from Italian some poems about Fausto Coppi... Does
anyone remember him? I could use some help regarding the following
terms and expressions:
what is the "Giro d'Italia" called in English?
what is the proper English terminology for 'track' racing and
'road' racing'?
Thanks for the help,
Jeremy

We certainly do remember him. If you were translating for bike fans you could
leave it as Giro d'Italia, or even "the Giro" on a second reference, but if
it's for general readers it would be the Tour of Italy. Both "track" and
"road" are the correct translations. (And don't even think of translating
Il Campionissimo into English.) Any chance that this group could see
some of the translations?
