No, it's not the only indoor track, but it's the only track they have
that could be certified for world championship calibre competition.
There is a 166m indoor track that is part of the INSEP training centre
in Paris. The Vel d'Hiv in Grenoble is 210m, thus not conducive to timed
events.
The Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy have a 250m track, but it is not
available as a full time facility (they do everything from motocross to
karting to windsurfing inside).

That's a very good track and I've considered moving there just for the

what was in Southland that attracted you ?
I lived there in my childhood for about 4 years, nice place if you
like the rural outdoorsy stuff, but a bit chilly walking to school in
winter wearing short trousers and woolen mittens.
Some awesome vision by the local city council, they made it happen.
Unreal; I'm still in shock :)
