"On the last climb I had no problem. I thought about attacking earlier
but I have a plan for this Tour and I’m going to stick to it."

Too bad he didn't strike earlier today, what's won is won, Contador
might have better legs in the Pyrenees...

These fucks that wait until the last 2km to attack piss me off. I'd
like to see someone win with heart and not strategy.

Haven't seen it since Hampsten in the giro and Roche taking oxygen

dumbass,

hardly anyone was willing to attack as long as contador had teammates
with him. joachim rodriguez tried and ended up losing time.

if contador is isolated though i would expect to see attacks.

Perhaps Contador was not on usual form, and Astana tactics were to ride
the energy out of his rivals to a point where they could not exploit this
on the final climb.

It worked whatever his condition was.
His rivals seemed to interpret the Astana pace as evidence that Contador
was ok and ready to bite, and waited for a bite that never came rather
than bite first.

Time will tell whether there was more than 10 seconds GC on offer today
for Shleck, Evans et al.
