Wanted:
Information on how to install V-brakes utilizing the internal cable routing on
a Klein Pulse. My local bike shop suggested a Klein adapter for the rear
brake output of the cable on the top tube. The thin housing that comes out of
the Klein frame is too thin for the noodle on the V-brakes. I was wondering
if anyone out there has any ideas about this adapter that fits in the tiny
hole in the rear output in order to accomodate a piece of housing to go to the
noodle of the V-brakes. I would appreciate any info or experience with this
problem or where to find one of these adapters that fit into the Klein.

Thanks in advance,
Mitch

I ordered the adapter from http:/www.bikeworld.com/. You will have to
remove the plastic housing and drill out the rear hole in the top tube
slightly. A drill bit is included in the kit, and the installation was
pretty straight-forward. It works fine.

Who needs the adaptor? Remove the internal housing, drill the rear
hole out a hair and insert a step down ferrule (used for rear
derailleurs) into the hole. You now have a clean stop for your
housing.

My LBS did this for me for a very minor fee and it worked fine.

The easiest, though not most attractive, way would be to run full length
housing from lever to noodle and zip-tie/tape the housing along the top
tube to keep it from flapping around.
