TREK 750 vs. TREK 790

Hello!

I need a quick answer on this one.

I am going to buy a bike from the US. Originally I was going to
buy the TREK 750. But since both the 750 Multitrack and the 750
Metrotrack is out of stock at TREK the shop I contacted offered me
the '92 TREK 790 at the same price as the 750.

Help me out here, what is your opinion on the 790 compared to the 750.

I am considering purchasing a shock absorbing stem,
