Lowe Alpine Systems was created by Greg Lowe, a mountaineer and outdoor
photographer. He also created LowePro camera bags. He sold the company in
1998. Not sure if there is any relationship to Alex.

Actually I believe that he helps design their packs.

Lowe Alpine systems and Lowe Pro Photographic camera bags were both
started by Greg Lowe in 1968. He is now a consultant to both companies,
having retired a few years back.

I forgot, Greg and Alex Lowe are no relation to each other.

Unforunately I was the person that posted this speculation. Actually it was
something that I thought that I heard. I am sorry if it caused anyone undue
grief. Apparently I was wrong, or who I heard it from was wrong. And I
actually do expect facts!
