Good for him.

It is comparatively low-tech. However that is not a
big problem everywhere. 2nd/3rd-world countries
might be interested, especially if the price was right.

There may also be concern that a C919 could be built
to a couple of other patterns - air-cargo/troop-carrier
and bomber - without too much difficulty. So, why sell
them really good engines ? Besides, China would just
pirate the technology ... nothing like a working example
to take apart and study.

Let them buy Russian engines ... or try building some
of their own.

That'll change once the planes start needing spares and factory mechanics
and there are few to be had, as Sukhoi Superjet customers have found out.

They can do that, except that their fuel efficiency can't match that of the
West...

That was a Soviet and American ploy back in the day.
Sell them a bunch of military equipment, and then you
have them on the hook for replacement parts. The
Soviet stuff needed a lot of fixing.

Russia still cannot make a decent ball bearing.

Aw ...... tough ............

So we should not sell them working examples of
better tech.

Another Bily-Bob Klinton look alike will just give it to them.

Don't forget the Satellite codes and the technology to keep Chinese
missiles from broaching at launch.

Clinton gave China WAY too much. I think he wanted
