Ripped Off By: A Lighter Than Air Affair

A Lighter than Air Affair, owned by Terry Lee Elliott of Lake Geneva,
WI, is a hot air balloon ride company with a long history of bad
business practices. After speaking with George Hennerly, Vice
President of the Lake Geneva Chamber of Commerce on July 19th
2004(http://www.lakegenevawi.cc/) I learned that A Lighter Than Air
Affair, was "kicked out" of the Chamber of Commerce. Many negative
letters have been written to them regarding this company, and they
forwarded copies on to the Lake Geneva Police Dept. where Det.
Kastensen is looking into the possibility of having a local Milwaukee
WI TV station do a consumer expose on this company. Also a quick
check on the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau's website
(http://www.wisconsin.bbb.org/)can show you at least eight unanswered
complaints about this company in the past 12 months alone and 16 since
October of 2001. I have also informed the Milwaukee WI FAA Flight
Standards District Office of Mr. Elliott's practices. Mr. Elliott owes
me nearly $400 and has promised to refund my money numerous times
without coming through. This is not just for me, but also for all who
have lost money or will loose money. I ask you to rethink advertising
or linking to this company. You will only be steering people towards
problems.
