I'm new to this group so forgive me if this is a common (or dumb)
question. I'm a photographer and have been considering getting into
ultra lights to take arials. I'm looking for a stable low speed
aircraft that is relatively safe with a reasonable range. I weight
about 195lb and will probably need an additional 50-100lbs of gear
allowance. Should I be looking at a powered parachute, an ultra light
or something else. I live just outside Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is
there anyone or any facility close to me where lessons and advice are
available? You can e-mail me direct here mike.la...@sympatico.ca or
at work mike_la...@dofasco.ca or just post a reply. Thanks for any
help you can provide.

Mike,

Absolutely nothing beats a powered parachute when it comes to aerial
photography. In a PPC you fly hands free (steering with your feet), at 25 to
30 mph, and are completely out in the open. There are many other advantages
too. Here are a couple PPC dealers in Ontario. For more info on PPCs,
dealers, manufacturers, etc., check out powerchutes.com

Mike!
You can reach Bryan Quickmire at b...@challenger.ca.
I am not yet an ultralite owner but I recieved a challenger video from
Bryan recently
and from what I saw, I would say a challenger would probably fit the bill
nicely.
