My plane was originally designed with pull cables for the controls of
everything. Since I would need to make new cables anyway, what about
using teleflex instead?
It seems as though it would be quite a bit easier since I would not have
to deal with the pulleys.
Is it reliable?
Is there "aircraft grade" teleflex, or is it the same as the boat shop
makes?
Opinions?

Thay carry the Morse Control cables. Thay are the same teleflex cables used
on the
Quicksilver line of UL's for aileron control.
I have a 82 QS MX one of the older 2 axis models and it used the teleflex
cable for the
rudder. but it was connected to the stick. My MX was converted to put the
rudder on the
pedals using the standard pull pull setup. But I'm in the process of
connecting the pedals
to the rudder using a teleflex cable also. Since my MX was originally
designed to have
a cable controlled rudder setting up the rudder end of the teleflex will be
easy. All I need to
do is figure out a way to connect the other end to the rudder pedals.
Hope this info,. helps.

I have seen a guy break one on an U / L and I have broken 4 in use on boats.
You sure you don't want a pull pull system? Or better yet push pull tubes? I
would NEVER use them on the tree main flight controls. But then, I'm having a
real good time living. Mack "Just my opinion, I could be wrong".
The one I know about was just from age---strands / wires started breaking
inside the cover. Control got stiff in flight but the pilot got it back on the
ground. Mack
