OK, enough head scratching...
Some of the posters here sign their messages with something like:

My Name PP-ASEL

I can reasonably guess that PP is Private Pilot but what is ASEL?

Thanks,

Another Sucker Enabling Laughter

After you get your private, folks down at the local FBO will watch your
landings and at about the fourth bounce down the runway will exclaim: "Ha,
ha, ha. There goes another PP-ASEL"

Bob,
There were 4 answers already posted before yours.
I'm betting that the only reason you posted an answer was so you could
show off that pretty bit of alphabet soup behind your name again. <G>

That's OK though, you deserve it.

OK, I knew the PP-ASEL answer. Here's my question:

I have a Commercial, SE / ME / Instrument / Land ticket...

How would my fancy little moniker look?

TIA,
Don Peacock
Commercial

I'd say Peacock just about covers it.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

LOL, I was thinking the same thing, Jeff. I can remember
getting a scathing email from St Stephen for leaving off the
PP-ASEL after my name on a quick reply I posted just
the next day after my ride. I don't have it in my signature,
so I just throw it in there when I feel like I need to.

I'd go with "CP-ASMELS-IA" for readability.

Or, of course, Peacock.

I frequent too many ground-pounder newsgroups to permanently add it to
my sig.
I'll manually add it in here if I feel like giving myself an attaboy.

If St Stephen's sig gets any longer they'll start charging him for
bandwith.

OK I'll try... you didn't specify whether your ATP was for land or sea, I'll
assume land

ATP-ASEL
CP, ASES, AMEL, Glider, Rotorcraft, IA
CFII, ASES, AMEL, Glider, Rotorcraft
A&P/IA

LOL didn't save a lot of space did it?

What did you take your ATP ride in, by the way?

Do you mean I need to put:
CPA MEL SEL SES IA 137, 500 ton Ocean Master Sail DM TRIMIX
at the end of every post?

The only thing that counts is your certificate number, unless you are giving
instruction. In that case, append CFI or CFII as appropriate where the regs
call for the student to receive instruction from an "authorized instructor." No
reason for any other ratings or certificates to show up when you sign your
logbook or anyone else's. Advisory Circular 61-65 is where you find out about
endorsements and how they should be written.
