Here is the recently released FAA Aviation Weather Handbook FAA-H-8083-28 11-24-2022 as a pdf:

It's a comprehensive and voluminous work.

Larry Burch retired from NWS as the AWC Deputy Director and has been working with this and other items for many years as a contractor to the FAA. Larry and I worked together at the ZLA CWSU in the late 1980s including volunteering for weather support of the Voyager Aircraft around the world record.
