Topic: Desert and Summer Flying

How to prepare for flights across remote areas in hostile hot weather
seasons, landout kit supplies, signaling and communications for downed
aircraft, etc.

Where: Van Nuys Airport at Mend Aviation
End of Saticoy Street, Big hangar just north of Tower

This session will count towards FAA Wings Program credit and is one way to
qualify for a Biennial Flight review, as one seminar counts for one hour of
instruction. Add a few hours of general flight instruction, and file the
program form with the FAA, and your BFR is complete! Wings Program
participation is often also a way to lower your insurance premiums, for
aircraft owners.
