Promised my lovely bride that after Uvalde I would take a break from competition flying. So, I don't need the latest greatest racing machine now ... not sure what I need ... but, first, I must sell my wonderful JS1-B. :-(

Might I suggest poolboy.com for your wife. "Turn that frown upside down!"
Begin there and then get yourself another new glider to help with the 'lost in Uvalde' feelings you are suffering my boy. I suffered from the 'Uvalde flat tires' darkness for years.
I learned last night that 1 in 5 suffer from some mental illness (not related to Obama) and that immediate attention will prevent and reverse descending into the depressive abyse.
Hurry, afterall it's Christmas and the fiscal cliff is only a few weeks away.
You can do this and all of us will be there to help.
Come to think of it....having a bit of "Uvalde slide' myself.
HHHmmmmdumdeedmum...lets see 'wingsandwheels/classified.com' hmmmmmmmmmm
uoooooooo SZ 29 for sale oooooooo with the good wing covers and a wing runner I see ooooooouu yeh....
(is it cold up north yet? I'm drinking Margaritas down here...)

Registration is expired. Will you take 5 bucks for it? :-) Fantastic machine, for any who might be interested.

And, if treated correctly, the JS1 will look and perform just the same 25 years from now. Of course, the pilot's performance is what really counts. ;)

Ahhhwwww (you guys started it).

And treated correctly the lovely wife will perform the same,
or Better, after 25 years,
you won't look the same, nor will she,
and it will still be a question of the pilot's performance.

Careful. It's wintertime in the North. You can keyboard with kindness,
or retreat to your workshops for winglet polishing.

Bill will trade the JS, fly more later and still be a happy man.
Smiling gently.

This just begs for the old "how is a plane better than a woman" list ;^)

Good Lord.....I believe Cindy B is the first girl to post on RAS. Somebody do a search and prove me wrong.
Poor WE is trying to sell a glider and here we are talking about 'Pilots Performance' as if we don't get enough performance information on TV.
Speaking of curvacious( thank you Evan for spelling that for us), I doubt the Arcus can be beat as the most sexy glider ever built. Talk about legs......whoaaa. No worry about mental jinx with that baby wrapped around ya. Throw a girl up front and ....well...Menage'de trois(?) that.
Whewww....hey , I'll go hijack the Club Class thread....
very tense over there.

You may be right about the Arcus... but I've only ever seen her with guys like Pete & Dennis & Rick on the controls. Handsome as they may all be, they just ain't my type. She's got this bandy legged thing going too. Otoh, show me a fuselage guy that doesn't swoon over a '20. Ring in the navel too, years ahead of her time.

And as far as "first girl" on r.a.s? Naw, not even close. We had a couple of girls back *before* r.a.s., when we were just r.a. and thought a fast usenet connection was 2400 baud. Darned if I can remember who though.

I know I'm pretty late replying to this - its years since I read and contributed to r.a.s. But I can confirm Cindy is not the first to post here. I'm not even sure I was but I did post back in the mid 1980's. In fact I think the first person I ever emailed internationally was a guy called Randy that I talked to here. I can't remember what gliding topic it was about though.

These days I'm back to 5 gliders having just sold my Nimbus 4DM. However I'm in the market for a replacement. Other gliders - 4 Vintage (Kookaburra, 2 x Boomerangs and a Super Arrow - All Australian Schneider gliders in various stages of refurbishment), and an LS4 which is mostly flown by my teenage sons. I also fly GA and rec.
