Rentals @ Minden?

I have flown from Minden on several occasions over the years, and would like to go again. However, it seems that there is no operation with rentals anymore (I live in Denmark, so I'd need one)
I have written both Minden Soaring Club and SoaringNV without response. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello Lars,

We have rented a car at Minden though it was a long time ago. My
suggestion would be to contact car rental agencies in the area.

We have used Enterprise Car Rentals in the past. They will often
deliver the car to your destination.

Also, how are you getting to Minden? From Denmark you must be flying
and there are car rental agencies at most large US airports.

Thanks Dan, but I was thinking more about renting a glider :-) That seems to be out of the question at MEV these days?

Hi Lars,
We have several pilots in Minden with high performance two place gliders. We can get you some flights in them. The Minden Soaring Club is also buying a Duo Discus for club use. It should be on line in a month.
Let me know when you would like to fly in Minden and I will try to help you out.

My trips to Minden are normally in connection with visiting the Bay Area, work related. So it is somewhat uncertain, but I'll certainly keep your offer in mind.

Hi Lars, You might try contacting someone in the Nevada Soaring Association. Years ago they had an ASW19 that they would rent to qualified visitors. They fly out of AirSailing Gliderport in basically the same valley as Minden.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I've been to AirSailing (via both road and wave :-) ), seems like a nice gliderport
