Can anyone tell me the publisher (and if it is still in print) of George
Moffat's splendid book 'Winning on the Wind' ? Also how much does it cost
and is it availible in the UK ?

The book was published by The Soaring Press but I believe it is out of
print. However, it is still available from the Soaring Society of America
for $3.00 U.S. Contact the SSA at P.O. Box E, Hobbs, NM 88241. You can
order by phone or fax at: Phone (505) 392-1177 or FAX (505) 392-8154.

It's a fun book though fairly dated. I reread it last night.

That reminds me that someone remarked that he had a reputation for not
practicing as much as everyone else. I think he addressed that in the
book, though, when he talked about only counting cross country hours as
practice. Roaming about in local area thermals didn't count.
