Try reading your own reference:

In a recent interview with CNBC's Steve Sedgwick, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary was cautious when it came to the outlook for new and emerging technologies in the sector.

"I think ... we should be honest again," he said on Oct. 20. "Certainly, for the next decade ... I don't think you're going to see any — there's no technology out there that's going to replace … carbon, jet aviation."

"I don't see the arrival of … hydrogen fuels, I don't see the arrival of sustainable fuels, I don't see the arrival of electric propulsion systems, certainly not before 2030," he added.

Tom, you are as fun as a dead horse carcass.

Frank.....
"Very cool."...what a thrill it would be to fly such a quiet low vibration speedster.
Phenomenal advances will happen in our remaining years.

Talking soaring, the Electric Soaring Era is moving forward rapidly, with every major
sailplane manufacturer, and even some of the others, already delivering electric gliders,
with new models being offered. When will we reach the crossover point, the year that more
electrics are delivered than fossil fueled gliders? I think it will definitely arrive in
less than a decade.

Hey Racist Bobby, you ALSO need to actually read the reference - that presumes that you can read, which is doubtful.

R, you have no idea as to how happy I am to see old Kingfish back in the arena. I was actually beginning to get worried thinking that possibly he had contacted COVID and was under the weather, he has been MIA for a few days, I just love getting into his head. Old Bob, The Purist

All(?) the Diana's on order are FES as far as I know. I wouldn't be surprised if the JS3's going forward have more RES than Jet's.

Looks like at Schempp Hirth at least it's a little way off, of the V3's delivered so far:
~50 V3M's
~50 V3T's
~20 V3 FES
1 single pure V3! One! And it appears to have been converted to a turbo at a later date.

Jonker are almost certainly producing more RES JS3s than Jets nowadays. I think I read in one of their newsletters earlier this year that they expected to produce 35 JS3 RES this year, which almost certainly is the majority of their production. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if currently JS3 RES production is higher than all other gliders they produce combined (non-RES JS3, JS1 and JS2).

The RES system was developed in conjunction with SOLO. Do JS have the rights to sole use of it? If not then I suspect that there will be a V3 RES and for that to be very popular.

I have a pure glider V3, so if one has been converted they built at least 2, unless somebody modified my glider as a surprise Christmas present. :-)
