I am confused with the wiring diagram of the manual. Can anyone help
clear up some confusion on the placement of the PTT wires? Where do
wires 17 & 25 go in conjunction with the two wires that come from the
PTT on the control stick?

Pins 13 and 25 are ground. Pin 17 is PTT, grounding it switches to
tramsmit.
So one wire from the PTT switch (doesn't matter which one) goes to pin 25
(or 13, or ground bus bar or anything else connected to radio ground) and
the other wire to pin 17.
However, I ask, if you can't follow the diagram in the manual, should you
be wiring up your own radio instead of getting somebody who knows what they
are doing to do it for you?
