LS8 15/18 For sale, Super nice glider

Hey Folks,
My buddy Rob asked me to sell his 2001 LS8 15/18. He was one of the designers of Tophat and is taking a break from soaring. He was kind enough to let me use this ship a couple years, I did not fly it this year. The LS8 is a beautiful flying ship. There is no crazing on this ship, it has some yellowing at the top of the vertical fin, and a bit on the 18m tips. It needs 3-5 days worth of interior and exterior cosmetic work. The canopy has no cracks. The 15m wings were reprofiled a few years ago by the previous owner. It has a a very nice Fiberglass Cobra trailer with brand new tires. Instruments need an update, however it currently has..... Power Flarm, Cambridge 302, Trig Transponder, Becker radio, Winter Vario, Airspeed, Alt. I was using a Droid A6 with Top Hat on it, so it has an extension mount on the panel for that. He is asking 64k, If I start to fix the few items, the the price is going up. I do not think you will find a nicer LS8 for this price, and if you are willing to do just a little work on it, its well worth it.
My buddy currently has the logbook, as I recall...No major damage and around 1400 hours, condition inspection was done in June of 2023. It is a beautiful ship. Located in Wurtsboro, NY
