My LX 400 has recently begun misbehaving: intermittant satellite
pick-up for a while, and now it only indicates GPS=BAD.
Connections all seem fine.
Any (serious) suggestions before I pull it out for service?

I have a similar problem. It takes a long time to locate any satellites, and
then the slightest movement of the aerial loses them again! Is this
something to do with the recent changes to the positional accuracy given by
the satellites?

Please keep me informed,

John Watkinson

I've e-mailed Filser (through their website) asking for help but got no
response. However, Tim Mara got the following response from "Zeno":

" There are only two possibilities:
-GPS antenna you can change it
-GPS receiver no change by customer possible
Regards Zeno
Filser Zeno <Filse...@t-online.de>"

As to just what this information maans in practical terms to the
owner/pilots of these units is obviously problematical. I ASSUME it means
pack up the unit and ship to Germany - - but in the absence of any really
constructive support from Filser, that also seems a risky course to follow.
