Hi,

The best book on it is by Helmut Reichmann. It's called Cross-Country Soaring.

There are some very good papers on it. Check out the links on my Soaring Links web site in the "Theory, Equations and Spreadsheets"

Read "Just a Little Faster, Please" by John Cochrane, SSA Mag, Sept 2000,
also he follow on article in the October issue.. check www.ssa.org for
electronic versions...

It's not MacCready's Theory... but it's the best explanation of it I've
read..

Well, there are more sources, try RD Aviation in UK (rd-aviation.co.uk i think)or if you have Sailplane and gliding magazine or (worst) try soaring society of america (www.ssa.org) but i cant recomend last one as I am waiting for my Reichman more than year and half 8-)))

29.- or so.

I don't think the hardcover is going to be printed again.
