Wanted:variometer

[Duff Davis]

A friend is looking for a new or vintage
pellet variometer of any make. These were
used as "sensitive" rate of climb indicators
in early gliders. He has rebuilt a Franklin
PS-2 and this would top off the project nicely.

Duff, try sending an e-mail to:
hang-g...@lists.utah.edu, with instructions to
reply to you via e-mail. That address is a hang-gliding
digest with thousands of participants. Someone there
should be able to find you a Makiki vario, a pellet model
from the early days of hang gliding. They were of course
simple, required no power, and had a red pellet for down
and a green one for up.
