"A Beginner¹s Guide to Powered Parachutes" is the latest video release by
Brian FitzGerald of Wichita, Kansas. 2 hours and 34 minutes long, it is
his fourth independent video regarding the sport of Ultralight Flying.
FitzGerald¹s first three tapes, "A Beginner¹s Guide to Ultralight Flying",
"Ultralight HangarTalk Part 1", and "Ultralight HangarTalk Part 2" have
been well received by customers and reviewers alike. FitzGerald was named
the "Best Video Journalist of the Year" by the editors of Ultralight
Flying! Magazine for "A Beginner¹s Guide to Ultralight Flying".
Like his other tapes, "A Beginner¹s Guide to Powered Parachutes" comprises
in depth interviews with professionals in the sport of Powered Parachutes.
Ben Morrow of Liberty, Missouri; Randy Jackson of Fort Collins, Colorado;
and Ken Kelly of Topeka, Kansas share some of the knowledge they have
gained from many years of involvement in general and sport aviation.
Scores of topics involving all aspects of the growing sport of Powered
Parachutes are covered. In addition to the talks, there are numerous
"music video" segments featuring Powered Parachutes flying to the
accompaniment of music written and performed by FitzGerald.
1. Ben Morrow has retired from a career with the Federal Aviation
Administration. He has "mucho" hours in single and multi-engine aircraft.
Since retiring, he and his wife have established a dealership for sales of
Powered Parachutes and training of pilots. They are both very active in
Powered Parachute clubs and associations and Ben has worked diligently to
establish standards for Powered Parachute manufacturers.
2. Randy Jackson is a businessman with homes in three states and one
outside the country where he maintains various holdings. As he says it, he
was "hooked" by Powered Parachutes after an initial ride given to him by a
business associate. He now is one of the top dealers for the manufacturer
he represents and has trained nearly a hundred pilots to fly Powered
Parachutes.
3. Ken Kelly is a businessman/entreprenure with experience in General
Aviation and "Fixed Wing" ultralights who has found his home with Powered
Parachutes. He is also one of the top dealers in the country for the
Powered Parachute manufacturer he represents and trains dozens of pilots a
year.
All three of these men are leaders in the field of sport aviation and are
gifted with an ability to transmit their knowledge and insight about
aviation.
In keeping with his dedication to a "free skies"philosophy, "A Beginner¹s
Guide to Powered Parachutes" was produced in support of continued self
regulation of the sport of ultralight flying. It is FitzGerald¹s belief
that members of the ultralight community are obligated to look to more
experienced aviators for learning. There is no need to "re-invent the
wheel" every time a novice takes to the air. That is why his previous
productions and the new release, "A Beginner¹s Guide to Powered
Parachutes" provide novices with an opportunity to learn from top,
experienced aviators in a casual format.
"A Beginner¹s Guide to Powered Parachutes" was shot and edited over a 2.5
year span at locations in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado and Texas..
All four of FitzGerald¹s Ultralight Tapes: "A Beginner¹s Guide to
Ultralight Flying"; "HangarTalk Parts #1 & #2" and "A Beginner¹s Guide to
Powered Parachutes" are available for $29.95 each and can be ordered
