I'm thinking about this combination, but Paul Remde warns on his product page that the TRIPLTEK 8 Pro may be too large for many glider cockpits. I fly an LS7 with a pretty narrow interior, but really like the idea of the TRIPLTEK over an Oudie N, not just because the display is larger but also because it has a much higher pixel resolution.

Would appreciate feedback from users of he TRIPLTEK 8 Pro.

Thanks!

You could rig up a leg strap or knee board and mount the device that
way. Then it doesn't block your instruments or controls (if you do it
right). My first GPS portable was carried that way in my LS-6 which
probably had the same cockpit.

Good Luck!

A buddy uses a NavPad, bought from Paul Remde, strapped to his leg for his Nexus 7 original.

I've got one for my Nexus 7 2013 and will see how it works.

I tried out a suction cup mount, but 7" tablets are too big, especially if you want to see outside.

I have used the TriplTek for quiet some time, not in my sailplane, but for my drone operations. The unit is really good, long batter life , durable and very bright even in sunny conditions. I also have an Oudi IGC and it just compared the size of the two and the TriplTek is about 35-40% larger screen size than the Oudi IGC. The Tripl is extremely durable, can really take abeating and the brightness and resolution is impressive. The unit is Android based, can work under any condition and is an impressive unit for what I do, I would not consider it too large for the cockpit of my 27. Old Bob, The Purist

I too am considering the TriplTek in my DG 800. It is a little tight, but very doable using a offset RAM arm..

Right now I am waiting for the new Seeyou Mobile software to mature. I guess if it came today with free lifetime upgrades, I would likely make the leap.

Hi,

I have a TRIPLTEK 8 Pro and love it. I also stock and sell them. I have an extensive review of how it works with SeeYou Navigator on the page in the link below.
