That was in fact the airplane for *most* of the scenes. If you squint,
you'll notice that the wingovers and other heavy stuff is film of an ASK-21,
not a Duo. They clipped in some stock footage from somewhere.

Some of the footage was shot in upstate New York, too ( Harris Hill , Elmira
area ). Harris Hill Soaring Corp. operates several ASK-21's, so it may have
been one of theirs. I didn't notice a K-21, but the flying was so brief in
the movie I could have easily missed it. Check out

You got that wrong. It was the Duo Discus doing all the stunts.
Tom wasn't that you on the staircase?
If I were Tom, I'd be a bit less excited about proclaiming in print about
doing maneuvers in a Duo that aren't approved in it's type. :)
I bet the ship stayed level. All maneuvers done by tilting camera and
scenery. It's amazing what them special effects can do.
