I've started a blog, http://cherokeesailplanes.blogspot.com

Initial motivation is to document the recovery process on N373Y. But
additionally I will be including as much Cherokee II info as I can.
I'm sure it will become a home for flight reports, type information,
future restoration projects etc. Enjoy!

Cool, Tony! I've added it to my favorites. It's in good company, with
Bob K's HP-24 project, and Jim Phoenix's site.

I think its worth noting that I did a little detective work
yesterday. Downloaded the FAA's active and deregistered database,
searched the NTSB, searched the Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian
registries and thumbed through about 2 inches worth of Cherokee II
documentation including several newsletters from the 70's. I also
added any photos of various Cherokees that I have collected over the
years. I should do some scanning tonight to get a few more from the
newsletters. End result is arguably the most complete listing of
Cherokee II's ever assembled. Over 100!!! most estimates are that
less than 150 were ever built. Take a look and please let me know if
you know anything about the history of any of these gliders.

Another bump. I started to put new fabric on the rudder today. The
rudder is my "practice" piece before I move onto the bigger parts.
This will let me get used to using the Stewart covering system. First
side of fabric went on well today, will do the other side tomorrow.
Also, I've continued to compile photos and stories about over 100
Cherokee II's worldwide. Check out the "Cherokee II Roll Call" post
on the blog, http://cherokeesailplanes.blogspot.com
