A ZIP drive is better than floppies and better protected and portable if you
get the parallel port version. Weather links abound...you can search
Dejanews(?) and maybe get it all too.

http://www.home_ps.shtml is a link to the "power search" screen for
Deja News. I believe that they have the complete r.a.s. archive along
with those for thousands of other newsgroups. You can search there for
any combination of specific subject, newsgroup, and date range, and
can use wildcards like "rec.aviation.*" to get all aviation newsgroups.

If you haven't used Deja News recently, it seems to be significantly
improved over what it was a year ago.
