To any glider people in deutschland (or anywhere) help!

I have a Costabel sprint glider trailer for my DG300

It uses some long gas struts to hold up the top of the trailer, and
these have worn out. Our glider importer tells us that these glider trailers
are no longer made, and he has no idea where to get the struts.

I will be in england over christmas, so I will be better able to get
to european suppliers.

Does anyone have any idea how to find these spare parts?

The address From the trailer :-

(but given it is 10yrs old who knows who might answer the phone?)

I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the trailer. If the struts
are no longer available you might be able to get the specs (lift force,
damping and stroke) for the cylinder. There are several manufacturers of gas
struts here in the U.S. that may be able to match the strut for you.

The alternative might be to get the name of the manufacturer and the mfg.
stock number from the strut. One of the U.S. manufacturers may be able to
cross reference the part for you.

If you need the names of some U.S. strut makers, send me a note and I'll
check my Thomases.
