Has anyone successfully and consistently established a BT connection to the S100 using an Android phone? I'd be interested
to hear how you went about it as I have had inconsistent results:

I successfully paired my new S100 with my Samsung Galaxy A51 running XCSoar, but it has now failed. In XCSoar /Devices I see error message:

read failed, socket might closed or timeout, read ret: -1

Yes, Bluetooth is enabled in the S100, and the antenna is seated firmly.
When it was working I managed to download an igc file via XCSoar and also sent a task to the S100.

So I cleared Bluetooth cache, unpaired the devices, then paired the devices again and bingo it worked again. However today the Galaxy shut down on the grid due to overheating and now I get the error message above again. I unpaired again, but now can't get the phone to see the S100. How do you put the S100 into pairing mode? Yesterday it just appeared in the Bluetooth devices list, but not today. Any advice appreciated! Another thing, when I turn on BT on my phone I get a list of 4 devices. When I connect to music etc with any of the other 3 devices I get a message saying 'Connecting', then 'Connected. Even when I do manage to connect to the S100 I see NO messages. Any comments and advice appreciated!

Hi Bernie,

I've had good success connecting S100 and S10 units to current iPhones, and my Oudie N, and my Tripltek 8 Pro Android device. I've been using the Naviter SeeYou Navigator app. In Navigator, you don't need to pair your device in the Android settings, you just go to Menu, Devices and select the S100. You may want to try SeeYou Navigator to see if it works better for you. It's available in the app store.

I've found that it works best to wait a few minutes after the S100 powers-up before trying to connect.

Best Regards,

Hi,
I encountered the same issue with the same A51, althought not with a S100, but with home made BT adapter(s) connected to flarm, s7, 302.... I don't think S100 by itself is the issue.
Heating issues are recurrent. I plan to stop using my phone in the glider.
