Paul-
Great photos of your Atlas 10M. I purchased my Atlas in Oct. 2013 and have been really pleased with my purchase! They're a beautiful plane with a lot of attention to quality at a very competitive price. When you compare the Atlas 10M to the price of a Silent 2 and then consider that they have better performance, it's a winner hands down. The guy I bought mine from set many state records and placed 2nd one year and 3rd the next year in the Online Contest in my Atlas. I can see from your photos you've added some nice upgrades as well. I've been impressed at how easily the motor extraction/retraction is, just one push of button and 20 seconds later it's up or down. At just 448 lbs you can really feel at one with the thermals. Can't wait to get back out with it this coming spring.. Steve Loudon

Steve,

Thanks for sharing your positive experience with the glider. Yes, on paper the performance is better than the other "ultralight" sailplanes like the Apis and the Silent II, but it really comes down to pilot skill, as always.... Wolfgang, who owned your ship previously, thought the performance and flying qualities (light controls and wing-loading, etc.,) was very similar to a Standard Libelle, and David Stevenson assigned it an identical handicap for the Sports Class.

My ship had some issues in the first year that I owned it, including a shake caused by slop in the rudder cables, but all were resolved by our local expert. Additionally, he made numerous improvements that made the ship even more pleasurable to fly.

Would it be OK for pilots who are interested in possibly buying my ship to reach out to you for more information? There are only two TST-10M's and two TST-14M's (including Bob Carlton's "Bonus Jet") in the US, so you are potentially 25% of the "owners group."

Is the glider still for sale? The site does not seem to open.

Paul-
I'd be happy to have other interested pilots contact me.. It's a great plane and who ever ends up with it will be getting a lot of plane for the money, not to mention the upgrades and trailer.

Yes, the ship is still for sale. The website hosting company seems to be having some technical problems in the last day or two. The site is up and I don't have any problems viewing it, but others have reported that it is disappearing sporadically. Sorry, but check back later.

Hi Paul,

Guess the "shine" on your "newer" sailplane pushed you over the edge on the TST sale.....

GLWS.....

See you whenever.....

Charlie, yes, I'm ready to part with the glider. I guy like me really shouldn't have two gliders; much better to have one glider and one 529 college savings plan!

Here's a link to a Dropbox folder with additional information about the glider: recent photos; the POH; the technical data sheet; recent weight and balance; igc flight files; preflight checklist, etc.:
