Don't forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16 for the picnic/reunion of the Warrenton Soaring Center, to be held at its old home, Warrenton Airpark! Come see where it all started for Skyline Soaring Club, get a sense of history and meet some of the people who made it all happen.

VERY informal, bring food and drink (grills available), starting ten-ish or so until whenever. Rain or shine (if weather's bad, we can use the large building that houses the skydiving operation!)

As many of you know, another of our old WSC gang made his final glide recently; Peter Bacque died suddenly and unexpectedly a few weeks back. Only 67 years old, an untimely early finish. But it reminded me of so many of our WSC brethren who've traded glider wings for angel wings - - I can't remember them all, but the list is getting longer: Bill McLean, Bill Clarken, Leo Meacher, George Watkins, George Strohsahl, Charlie Schwenker, Bela Gogos, Red & Mary Rohmann, Joanne Vickland .. . . .
