Is there a real flight planner for FS98? I am currently using Flight
Planner 4.0b with a FS98 database that I found at flightsim.com. This
database has airports in the US only. I would like to find something
that has, well all FS98 airports.

Try CoPilot v2.0. It uses the .bgl files from your scenery files as its info.
As long as you can install scenery in that area you want to plan your flight
for, then CoPilot is capable of planning it. You can plot your waypoints
manually (which is what I do, since I use all the real navaids (H and L
sectional charts as well as the DP/STAR charts) or just tell CoPilot that you
want to start here and end there, and watch it create its own route for you.
Check out http://www.abacusbooks.com and decide for yourself whether or not you
like it. By the way, it is a commercial release, so you will only be able to
download a trial version of it.

Or download NAV18 from www.flightsim.com.
Its free and does many of the things CoPilot does.
Infact, I bought CoPilot and never use it unless I need an airport
diagram. (not very often)
There are also some freeware GPS programs you can download, so you dont
have to buy CoPilot for that either.
For approach plates, I use Final Approach V5. This program is shareware,
although the evaluation copy is fully working with no time limit,
except you cant print the plates out...err directly from the program.
Of course, you must register it after the evaluation period.

Here's another program to check out.
Its EFIS, a flight management computer and navigation display
copied from the Airbus A320. Its a must have if you fly heavy jets.
Well worth the 12 UK pounds. Download the working demo at :
