Hi to all,

Having installed Eric Ernst's new panel, I always get the HG2D.DLL invalid page
fault error whenever opening the overhead panel.

Does anyone else have the same trouble or a possible solution.

Regards,

Albert.

I am getting the same error about 15 seconds after loading the
aircraft and it therefore unusable.
Are others able to use the panel? In the short time it looks good!

Cheers

Yup, getting the same thing here. If I click on the switch on the main
panel to bring up the O/H then my machine just locks up completely. If I
try to access the O/H via the "ALT-View-Instrument Panel" way then I get
the HG2D.DLL error which causes me to shut down FS98.

I have no solution except to say that I feel your pain!

I un installed FS98 completely and reinstalled it. I then installed
the new panel with the 767 (and 757) aircraft recommended at Eric's
site and it all seems to be working now!

Forgot to mention, after re-installing FS98, I reinstalled FS98PAT1
and FSCONV98, before installing panel etc.

Hello to you all,

To avoid these problems:

Extract de files NOT directly to the folders in your FS, but in a temporary
folder !!!
I have unzipped to a temporary folder and the put them in the folder where
they belong.
Result: No problems at all !

Any way...it's good to read TFM !! But as allways, you do as good
simmers....-))

Have fun with this great panel and a happy landing after use this panel on B
757/767.

I haven't needed to reinstall FS98 to get things working. The first
time I installed the panel, I got this error. I re-installed the panel,
and it worked.

(What is it about Windows which makes reinstalling so necessary?)

I had the problem but thought it may be something to do with RIVA TNT
drivers - I then installed the latest Detonator drivers and it now works
fine - shame I am running at 1024x768 and now get the black screens when i
change views....

Anyone know how to fix that one ?

Thanks
Chris.

I have a Diamond Viper 550 with the TNT. Where do I get a better driver?
I'm afraid to mess with drivers since that was a source of some major
problems when this comp was brand new. The place I bought it from couldn't
even fix it, I had to figure it out and then tell THEM what I did so they
could fix the computers people brought back with the same problem.

Thanks,

Hi,

I've the same adapter and haven't any problem. I've the latest driver
and BIOS available on Diamond Web Site : http://www.diamondmm.com

The HG2D.DLL problem is known and solution could be found on Eric Ernst
website.

Emmanuel

Go to www.avsim.com and look in the Eric Ernst Panel forum - I posted
a solution there that seems to work for many people - essentially you
make a new default flight.
