The helmet, adaptor card, hand sensor, and some software is $995.00 U.S.
dollors. There target is to have the system down to about the $500.00 mark
within a 1-2 year time frame. I looked at a lot of the VR equipment there
and it was about the best and by for not the most expensive. There were cheaper
units there and they were just that!! I saw a $3000 VR helmet that was not
near as good as the VFX-1!!!! I will just have to buy for myself!!

Please tell more! :-)
What was the resolusion of the helmet?
What was the field of view (in degrees)?
How fast was the refresh rate? Was it jumpy with fast head movements?
What sort of computer was driving the helmet?
What sorts of computers will be supported?
What did the hand sensor do?
Was Flight Unlimited set up for paralax viewing or were each view screen
identical?
I'm sure I'm missing other limitations flight sims have with the current
VR helmet technology, so feel free to add more info if you can think of
it.
Tom (hoping for the day I don't have to use my Joystick hat to view!)
