Has any one out there had any experience with Zemlock Helicopters in Chino,
CA. I'm looking to complete my CFI rating. If any one can has any
information on how good they may be at CFI prep, that would be appreciated.

Thanks,

While getting my ticket there I witnessed all who pursed a helicopter
career found positions.

Comparted to other operators they are reasonably priced. Last time I
was there they were flying the Bell 47 D-1. Very underpowered but in
my opinion better than the R-22. Full touch down autos in the Bell 47
are a blast. I don't think they do those in the R-22. Everyone is very
down to earth there. They have been in business many years.

There are many cow farms surrounding Chino Airport though less with
every passing day. The smell in the summer at 500' is a bit "ripe".

My buddy Don Donley fly's with them and he tells me that they are very good to
him.

I disagree, compared to what are they underpowered?

Compared to a Bell 47-G3..... If you do not think the D-1 with its
"macho" Franklin engine is underpowered thats your opinion. Not that
it's unsafe, you just have to be very aware of the limitations. The
D-1 lacks guts. I'd still take one over an R-22.
